Sello Sa Tlou Youth Development Centre has been working tirelessly since 2012 to instil skills in youth through arts and other programs. Founded by a passionate individual who wanted to make a difference, the centre has grown to become a vital institution in the community. The centre’s story began with a group of artists, including the Founder Sello McDonald Malebana and his partner, Tlou, who shared a passion for theatre production. With the support of local leaders, they started running the organisation, providing a space for kids and youth to rehearse and develop their skills. Despite facing challenges, including financial constraints, the centre persevered and is now funded by Gauteng Department of Social Development.

Today, Sello Sa Tlou Youth Development Centre is a well-structured organisation with board members, staff, and volunteers who work together to provide services to the community. The centre’s highlights include performing for former President Jacob Zuma at the FNB Stadium, working with celebrities like Somizi, and hosting initiatives like Mandela Day.The founder’s legacy is one of a change maker and youth champion, advocating for youth development and empowerment. He ensures that knowledge is shared with the next generation, and his passion for arts and youth development is evident in the centre’s work.
