Suday Sonti Mirriam Pitsi is the founder and coach of Suday Msondoro FC, which is based in Thembisa.. While growing up, she used to play soccer, mostly with boys, for teams like Vusimuzi Ladies, Vusimuzi Boys, Masiqhakaze Secondary School, Chechema Secondary School, and Impumelelo Ladies Residence, which is located at the University of Johannesburg (APK Campus). “In 2021, I joined a certain team around Vusimuzi and mistakenly hurt my ankle, and that’s when I decided to open my own team, Suday Msondoro FC. I’ve always dreamt of opening a team and going as far as registering it at the PSL Level. I would say that my ankle injury gave me the strength and enough motivation to open my own team,” explains Suday.

Suday Msondoro FC consists of 5 Divisions, Under 9, 11, 13, 15, and 17, respectively. Turning 30 years old on October 8, Pitsi is still taking in new players. “The more, the merrier. Also, I cannot deny a child from coming to play for my team,” she adds.Coach Suday emphasises the importance of respect, honesty, kindness, innovation, empathy, and love in her players. “We won our first trophy this year on the 30th of June 2025. Patience is a virtue. After so many years of trying, we finally ended our drought. I slept holding our plastic trophy that day,” she giggles. The coach’s plan is to improve their game, have fun with the boys and for them to pass their grades. Other than coaching the little ones on the field, they know they can always come to her for assistance with schoolwork. She stresses that education is the key to success.

Suday Msondoro FC needs sponsorship, especially when it comes to soccer kits and training equipment. “I registered a non-profit company around 2022 to apply for sponsorship under the name of Pitsi Innovation Foundation. Unfortunately, we were never lucky, and I had to resign from my duties as the director, as I am not allowed to be registered with the CIPC while I’m doing my law practical. At this point, any assistance would be appreciated,” the coach appeals.Coach Suday’s message to their supporters is to be patient and to continue supporting Suday Msondoro FC and watch it grow into one of the most dangerous PSL teams in the years to come. “It all starts now. It might seem like there’s no progress, but something positive is coming soon.

Also, let me add my assistant coach, Tebogo, who is very grateful to him for being patient. I’ve had assistant coaches who came and never lasted, but Coach Tebogo is literally the best. He takes his time and comes to help whenever he’s not occupied,” she concludes.
