MASTERPIECE TURNS SETBACKS INTO EVENT SUCESS

Thabo Presley Rangwato, also known as “Masterpiece “, is a 36-year-old entrepreneur born and raised in Thembisa. In his journey to becoming a businessman, he started out as an aircraft metal artisan in 2020.

Unfortunately, he got retrenched during the COVID-19 pandemic and embarked on selling chickens and eggs. Things got worse when he lost the money for the business and had his bakkie stolen, and eventually had to close the business. “With whatever cents I had left, I invested in buying event barricade fences. That’s where the business started,” he tells The Olifants.

The name of his current venture is Ispane Sakhona Events Equipment Hiring and Management. “We provide services for events like street bashes, lobolas, weddings, funerals, baby showers, and birthday parties. We do both formal, corporate, and lounge.” Masterpiece clarifies.

The business is in Thembisa, Moteong Section. The public can view his catalogue is his personal Facebook account, Masterpiece Presley Rangwato. Their services include colour decoration, themes and designs according to the clients’ or customers’ requirements. The prices start from as little as R1500, up to R50 000, depending on what is needed. If they don’t have enough services to render, they then outsource whatever is required to meet your needs.”Our target market is the youth, new fashion, average, and middle-class people who take pleasure in unique décor for their parties or gatherings to attract the corporate world,” he shares. They cover the whole of South Africa at a fee.

The plan and vision are to maximise the profit and grow the business. To sell furniture and designer artefacts, anything made from steel, wood, and upholstery, grow the assets, reach the international level, by providing different or rather unique setups/ décor, and be a leader in equipment design, concludes Masterpiece.
