Akhona Phempeni, affectionately known as Connie Brown, is a multifaceted talent on the rise. Born in Cape Town, Connie’s early life was marked by challenges, having lost her mother at 8 and later her siblings. These experiences have forged her into a compassionate and humorous individual.
Connie’s journey in entertainment began as a model and actress, with appearances on popular shows like “Generations” and “Legacy.” Her true passion, however, lies in music. As an Afropop artist, she believes her voice can positively impact lives. Her debut song, “iThuba,” released 2 years ago only on YouTube, then released on every social media this year in May, featuring Mr Fizzy from Nigeria and produced by Dr Skaro, is already making waves. Collaborations with Queen Lolly and Master Bethu have also earned her a spot on the Avulekile album.
Connie is a vibrant and loving individual who’d bring joy to any space. Her story is one of resilience and hope, inspiring those around her.
