Khosi Dlamini is the recently appointed Vice President of Netball South Africa. On 25 October 2025, the Netball South Africa (NSA) Council convened for a Special Council Meeting (SCM) and the Quadrennial General Meeting (QGM) at the Garden Court Hotel in Kempton Park.
Over two days, these meetings culminated in the election of the federation’s new leadership, with Dlamini elected as Vice President to Mami Diale. Dlamini is also the President for Gauteng Netball and the chairperson of Ekurhuleni Sports Confederation. A teacher by profession, Dlamini, having taught for only five years, worked for the City of Ekurhuleni for most of her life. The 51-year-old holds 2 Master’s Degrees, including a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, three degrees, diplomas, and certificates.
Khosi was born in Springs, grew up in Katlehong, and in the late 80s moved to KwaZulu-Natal to pursue her studies. “I played netball throughout my entire life in school. I joined netball, where every day after school, I would wear shirts and t-shirts and train. I played for different regions in KZN as well as for the KZN Province.” At a young age, she became the President of KwaZulu-Natal Netball and later moved back to Gauteng, where she became the Head of Office and Chief Whip, working with Troika, in the Exclusive Mayor’s Office.”I want to see girls and boys get out of drugs and teenage pregnancy by making netball their first choice.
If I can have netball courts in each region, and if I can get partners who will assist with transportation to training and games, and if we can have a professional league with sponsors, I will be very happy.” Said Dlamini.She adds, “My wish is to see black people becoming coaches and umpires. At this moment, this is dominated by whites. Want to see black coaches and graders, and each province to have its own Professional Coach Development (PCD)”Khosi wants to see unity and fairness in netball at the district, regional, provincial, and national levels.
She says she has seen how others have been ill-treated and disbanded without substantial grounds. She emphasises that leadership and management workshops are crucial.
