Lerato Baloyi, popularly known as Coach Lee, is the head of the Liliba Young Stars Netball Club, which is based in Thembisa. “I started playing soccer when I was in secondary school in Limpopo. I then decided to try out netball, which I ended up falling in love with, and then I moved here to Thembisa,” the 20-year-old explains.
Having arrived in Thembisa, Coach Lee found out that her mother has a netball team that was started in 2022, and she decided to assist. “I ended up coaching, and I’m actually helping her and Coach Portia, it’s their team “, she tells The Olifants.
The Liliba Young Stars Netball Club comprises Under 11, 13, and 15, as well as the seniors. The club is gladly taking in new players. Anyone who is CRC with netball is more than welcome to join, including males.
The coach inculcates the mindset that her players should keep thriving no matter what, whether they win or lose. They should not lose focus.
“All I can say is that to all people supporting us, we highly appreciate the support. To the community, we say thank you for believing in us by giving donations.” Coach Lee goes on to say that they will be highly grateful for all sponsorships at this moment.
